When Gunnar Long is transported into the first fully-immersive virtual MMORPG, he finds himself in a new world filled with magic, mystery and adventure.

No more 9-to-5 job. No more studio apartment. No more reality TV.

Finally, he's in a place where he can call home, a place with people he can call friends.

But as more people want to trade their real world lives to get inside Eden's Gate, the government of the outside world wants the "game" shut down at all costs.

Gunnar must learn to survive, grow in power and find a way to send a message back to his old home.

"We're fine. We're alive. Eden's Gate is real."

Eden's Gate is a LitRPG adventure.

Eden Gate The Reborn A LitRPG Adventure eBook Edward Brody Matias Trabold

Other than the anime Sword Art Online, this is my first book on that genre. I really tried to read the novels based on the anime, because I enjoy it so much the 1st season. Now I discovered Edward Brody, and let me tell you, I'm gonna stick to it with him on this one.
There's action, there's progression and it throws enough deep on delicate subjects and themes, to make your time investment worth it.
It's a first person narrator, direct, and things happens fast, and there's consequences to one's action. Something that the author warn's you in the introduction. It's not about scaling power and being indestructible, is about a young kid with social problems trying to decide what is going to become in the future.
I really beat a personal record reading this book. I was on a hospital waiting for my wife to deliver our 3rd kid, and in one sleepless night I finish the whole book an purchase the 2nd. That was yesterday and I'm at 80% of the 2nd book.

Well done, Mr. Brody!

Eden Gate The Reborn A LitRPG Adventure eBook Edward Brody Matias Trabold Reviews

I really enjoyed this book, the story flowed well and keeps you entertained. There were some grammatical errors but the biggest problem for me was the font size of the character sheet, very small and on a grey background. For a litrpg book it would be nice if you could read the character sheet without having to squint over the top of your glasses to barely read the sheet. But all in all I can recommend this book.
This book was amazing! I loved it. I have never been much of a reader and never actually read a book for fun besides this one. I decided to give it a read because I read a description on the book and it sounded a lot like the anime “Sword Art Online” and after I saw that anime I could only dream about a real VRMMORPG in my lifetime and this book satisfied a little bit of that urge to get into a real game. This book also made me feel like I want to go on my own adventure in Eden’s Gate instead of read about one. So now I will be starting the second book and then moving onto the 3rd one and if there is going to be a 4th book I will read that one as well. Amazing work and can’t wait to read more!
Every person born in this world is a volunteer because every person requires a reason to live. Decisions imposed on a person are unable to cost motivation. According to Into Swann consciousness is made of awareness, perception, and information. In order to trap a consciousness in computer code, quantum gravity and electromotive force from the code is required. The quests and items act as the motive force and the items and assignment points act as units of quantum gravity.

Holiness is the only characteristic that is able to alter any property in our world and a game. Holiness is outside the uncertainty equation so by thinking of how choices relate to patterns, new beings and new stories are made. I get to go on an adventure with someone, listening only with holiness thru the words written by an author. Observe your choices, observe the word choices of the author, and observe the choices of the characters.

Theory of mind is what I mean if you need a hint.
Not a perfect book by a long shot but when compared to most of LitRPG out there it definitely stands out as one of the better ones.

Reasons it did not get a 5 star (within the LitRPG genre) rating is due to the MC having a hidden luck stat of 1000, the underdeveloped (not thought out) economy considering the main purpose of the virtual world that should work for quite some time in the future, unbalanced combat/magic system (e.g. the damage ratings on the weapons and spell descriptions do not seem to behave consistently with the explained world mechanics), etc.

Anyway.. worth a read. Helps that the author seems to be a native speaker.
Is a good LitRPG book, a nice addition to the genre but I was not instantly hook like I was with The land, Awaken Online or Divine dungeon. So it worth the read and the cost but not an insta drug !
There's a lot to this book that I loved and a few things that I really didn't love. This is my second LitRPG series that I've read, so I'm still exploring the genre. But from a critical point of view, I'll do my best to give you all an unbiased review as always.
First, let me say that this book was very nearly a 5 star review. But I don't round up, so a 4.6 is a 4 star review.

This was a good beginning to, what I hope will be, a good series. The plot was good and the story wasn't too bad either. I absolutely loved the characters, but I'm hoping to see some character growth and development in the next books (they were pretty stagnate in this one...but it's only the first book). Spelling and grammar...I'll have to go back and check, but I can't remember any headache inducing areas where I'd feel obliged to pull out my red pen.

Now that's out of the way, let me say this (WARNING, RANT IMMINENT)
This book went from meh, and me being about to return it, to interesting really quick. You have to stick with it and give it a try. If you don't like it by the end, then return it and forget all about Eden's Gate. (RANT TIME) My biggest complaint about this book would be the status read outs. I know this is only my second series in the LitRPG genre, but you don't need to read off everything every single time. I just wanted to skip over that read out every time it came up. The character is going in to check one status, so read out only that one status. Whenever I play MMOs I don't bother looking at all my stats whenever I go to check them, we don't need to know that, we already know that. Tell us when they go up/down, or when the character checks it again.

Despite that one headache inducing part of this series so far, I am looking forward to the next book. I'd recommend this book to those of us looking for a new LitRPG adventure, or really anyone who enjoys a fantasy adventure. It's not epic (or at least, I wouldn't call it one), but it's not bad either.

P.S. I'd totally go to Eden's Gate.
P.P.S. Make full dive VRMMOs a reality.
