Growing up in an unstable home, and then being tossed into the home of her estranged father and his new family, Maddie knows how it feels to be unwanted. All she longs for is a normal family where there is love, peace, and harmony. When she finds the twins hiding in her yard, her heart opens up and love spills all over them. They are running away because their widowed father is going to marry a woman they hate, and they claim she hates them, too. Maddie is taken in by the twins, and soon becomes good friends with their father. She steps in and helps out when he asks her, and she is glad to do it. When Adam has set a date for his wedding, he backs away from Maddie, hoping to give his future wife a chance to bond with his children. It is then that Maddie realizes that she is in love with Adam, and her heart breaks. Maddie isn't the only one who is sad. The twins are devastated and resort to drastic measures to get Maddie back. In spite of their sad little faces, the wedding day arrives, and it is up to Adam to make it right.

Wonderful Christmas story. We all have choices, paths we can take. Maddie is a sweet, loving woman and when she befriends a pair of four year old twins who have run away from home to escape their soon to be step-mom who doesn’t like them, Maddie has taken her path. The twin’s father, now that’s a different story, or actually this story. He’s got his own choices to make. Will he pick the best path for the twins and him? Well, that’s what this book is all about. Carole McKee is a brilliant writer and no matter what you like to read you will love this story.Product details

Such a sweet story! Maddie meets the twins and falls in love with them. She is more than willing to help out when the twins' widowed father needs her help. I knew she would fall in love with the father! I loved the story and I was so happy with the ending. This is a beautiful story well worth reading.
When kindhearted Maddie takes Shawn and Shayla under her wing, she meets their widowed father Adam, and it's instant attraction. Adam, however, is engaged to Sandra--a selfish woman who does not have his children's best interests at heart. Will Adam realize that Maddie is the perfect choice for him and his twins? Or will he make the biggest mistake of his life? McKee's sweet romance will keep you guessing until the end!
I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review, and I'm happy I did. I look forward to reading more of Carole McKee's novels.
From the time I picked it up it kept me drawn in to the story. I have read a lot of her books. She is very good.
This is a wonderful heartwarming story. It has a good flow and a great ending. Recommend to any reader that likes a good clean story line
Maddie's Garden is a sweet romantic story that will make you laugh and cheer for the 'plain' girl. Maddie is a single woman with a HUGE heart. She becomes friends with two adorable four year olds and becomes smitten with them right away. In walks their father....gulps....she is smitten with him too, but learns quickly that he is engaged to be married. Will he realize that he loves Maddie before it's too late? Read this wonderful book and find out for yourself. The author did a superb job writing this story that I can't wait to read more of her stories.
